The Sketchbook Project

HEY,
Here are a few drawings in my sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project. I said I would post a few so here they are. Let me know what you think. I know the photos are a bit yucky but I did them right before I sent the book off in a last minute documentation.
Much Love,
Ashley

drawings

Hello All ,

Who ever you are that looks at my work.
I finished a sketchbook that is part of the sketchbook project for The Brooklyn Art Library.
I am really excited this is my first time sending my drawings or any of my art out into the world for people to go see.
My book is full of stupid silly drawings that I hope will make people laugh. There are a few Im not so happy about but overall it came out pretty well.
I am going to post a few photos of the drawings on here for you to see but hope that you will go check it out in brooklyn or elsewhere since the sketchbooks will be touring.
Check it out..

HERES A FEW MORE

New Stuff

Here is some new stuff that I was just playing around with. The "real" photos still need to get developed.
But I hope you enjoy.. It's been a long while since I've posted anything I was really sick for awhile but now I can commit to my photographing daily promise.
Very Excited about it. =)
See you later
Cheers

Illinios

Heylo,
These are some photos I took with my phone while visiting my home. It was my dad's wedding which I am so glad I was able to come out for. They had the wedding on the UIC campus in Chicago. It was one of the most beautiful campus's I have ever seen. Lots of old architecture with ivy and laid brick walkways. Most of these photos are from the hotel that we stayed at also where the reception was held. All I can say was it was a beautiful building kept in touch with its older furniture and look. I hope you enjoy these photos and go and visit sometime. =)

I also am starting a type of challange for myself. There are times when I don't upload photos for months and I want to change that. So I told myself that everyday I must go out and photograph. What ever i can find. Hopefully I will keep to it and have some great photographs to show you.

Kind Regards,
Ashley

Ship Graveyard

Ship Graveyard
Thanks to my friend Cat I've found this wonderful place. People bring old ships here to rest. It is said that when ever you go back it looks different because there is new boats and others have sunk into the abyss of disgusting muck. To get great photos it is not easy. First you have to travel past the small graveyard into a field of amazing high grass past thorny branches across a wooden log and onto the muck.... all while carrying two wooden boards. which you use to walk on once in the muck. We happened to go on a day when it was 90 degrees so I wimped out and didnt get as close to the boats as I would have liked to but maybe some other time on a cooler day.
P.s. If you adventure out there bring shoes not flip flops!!! lol and expect to be covered in disgusting smelly muck. But it is worth it. Take a trip out to Staten Island and check it out/look it up.

Much Love
Ashley
